The type A G1 hole is placed in the center of each plate and does not have any negative effects on the integrity or performance of the chain & sprocket. Something to note is that there are 5 different types of standard G1 holes (A, B, C, D, E), each 1 has a different hole size based on the applications needs. Specifically, this G1 attachment is the A style which means it has a hole inside diameter of 0.254″.
